Austin Marshall
Mr. Marshall works tirelessly on behalf of his clients. He displays vigorous advocacy of his client’s cause; careful attention when communicating with clients; and attention to the cost effectiveness of his work.
Austin Marshall has been a practising lawyer for close to 50 years.
Mr. Marshall moved to the Northwest Territories with his family in 1983 after working in Ontario for nine years. He has worked as the Director of Legal Division of the GNWT, Department of Justice and Public Trustee of the NWT and for nearly 40 years has operated his own private practice.
Marshall Law serves clients in the NWT and in other parts of Canada that have connections to the territory.
Mr. Marshall practises in all Courts in the NWT and before tribunals.
His areas of practice, include:
∙ Labour and employment law on the employee/union side,
∙ Professional discipline on the professional member’s side, and
∙ Administrative law.
Mr. Marshall has been active in the affairs of the Law Society of the Northwest Territories and NWT section of the Canadian Bar Association as a member or chair of various committees. He is a member and NWT representative in the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers.
